All-on-4 Dental Implants

Some patients may not be candidates for dental implants due to a lack of bone density and the cost of replacing an entire row of teeth.

All-on-4® dental implants reduce the requirements and costs of traditional implants by only using four implants to restore a row of teeth.

Discover how All-on-4 dental implants from Watkins Family Dentistry in Elkhart, IN, can improve your quality of life.

Benefits of All-on-4 Dental Implants

Offers Immediate Results

All-on-4 implants can restore your ability to chew and other normal functions of natural teeth on the same day of the procedure. You can walk out of our Elkhart dental office with a stronger, more reliable smile.

Provides a Stable Platform

While traditional dentures can slip, All-on-4 dental implants are firmly rooted in the jawbone. You do not have to worry about dentures sliding out of place when you eat or speak.

Offers a Long-Term Solution

All-on-4 dental implants have a 94.8 percent survival rate after 10 years, according to the Journal of the American Dental Association. You can rest easy knowing that your smile will stay healthy for a long time.

Prevents Bone Loss

Because dental implants replace your natural tooth roots, they can stimulate the jawbone in the same way. Consequently, implants are the only restorative option that can encourage new bone growth.

Can Bypass Bone Grafting

Dr. Bruce Watkins will calculate the best placement and angle for your implants based on your jawbone density. As a result, many patients do not need a bone graft for the treatment.

Say Goodbye to Slippery Dentures And Gaps in Your Smile

Dental implants anchor dentures directly to the jaw.
This restorative dentistry treatment for missing teeth only requires four strategically placed dental implants to fully restore the form and function of your smile. We can even provide an immediate restoration at our dental office in Elkhart, IN.

Reasons to Consider All-on-4 Dental Implants

Many dental patients turn to All-on-4 implants because they are:

Before proceeding with the treatment, our dentist will take care of any oral health issues such as root canal infections or gum disease.

Consultation

Dr. Watkins will first determine whether you are in good oral health and that All-on-4 dental implants are a good match for your dental needs. Then we can begin planning for the implant procedure.

Planning

Our dentist will identify where to best insert four titanium posts into the jaw based on the availability of bone mass. These posts act as artificial tooth roots and provide the anchors for your prosthetic.

Placement

Placing the implants requires minor surgery. We will numb the area prior to the surgery, and we can provide sedation upon request. An incision will be made in the gums to access the jawbone, and a small amount of tissue will be removed before our dentist places your implants.

Osseointegration

Once your implants are firmly in place, Dr. Watkins will affix a temporary set of dentures to the posts. In the months following your surgery, the implants will fuse with your jaw through a natural process called osseointegration.

Restoration

After the osseointegration and healing phase, your implants will have become a solid foundation for permanent restorations. Once this process is complete, the dentist will attach a set of permanent, custom-made teeth to your implants.

All-on-6 Dental Implants

In addition to All-on-4, Watkins Family Dentistry also offers All-on-6. This restorative dentistry treatment uses six dental implants to secure a complete denture. We can discuss this option for tooth loss during a consultation.
